I do not think of beaches when we visit San Francisco and have never sought out a beach in the city in late November. Normally we are bundled up with sweaters, jackets and scarfs. When we were blessed with a 70 degree sunny day our friends took us to the beach so we could get a good view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We walked down a small path and were on a white sandy beach just minutes from the Cable Cars and rolling noisy streets of one of America's largest and most interesting cities.
