Good evening dear OTPN Readers, and welcome to a brand-new Universal's CityWalk photo-report. Today we will take another look around this entertainment district located in the heart of the Universal Orlando Resort. Let's see what is new and what has changed since our last visit:

First of all, the small Blue Man Group shop just outside the Sharp Aquos Theater has received a new look:

It looks like this could be a great photo-spot!:

And this corner:

A look around the store and the merchandise items on sale:

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit zooming next to us around CityWalk:

The newest CityWalk store, P!Q, now has a sign that has a spinning light inside:

Here's a very short video of the nighttime light illuminating the sign:

There's now also a "3D" P!Q sign on the right side of the store:

As we reported some time ago, there are numerous projections around CityWalk, and some of them have been added very recently. Here you are just some of them:

The big robot of the Hollywood Drive-In Golf looks less metallic after its recent refurbishment:

Time to say goodnight to Universal Orlando:

We'll close with a panoramic photo (FULL-SIZE):

And this is all! Thank you very much for reading, and see you tomorrow with more news, rumors, and updates, including a large LEGOLAND Florida photo-report!

Orlando Theme Park News Has A New Look

To contact us Click HERE

As most of our readers have certainly noticed, Orlando Theme Park News has just received a major refurbishment, which is only one of the many steps we are taking to make OTPN a better-looking website. We are aware of the fact that some may notice only a few differences from the previous layout of the site, but many of the changes have taken place behind the scenes or are simply less noticeable. Some of the things our readers have most definitely noticed are the wider header and footer, the new background picture and the various new images and logos that have been added here and there, all around the homepage.
As we stated at the beginning, this is just the beginning. More changes will come in the following months, but in the meantime we would love to hear from you what you think about this new look and if you are experiencing any issues. We thank you in advance for your support, and we hope to receive a lot of feedback!

Magic Kingdom Projects: Rapunzel's Tower Now Up

To contact us Click HERE

Today we have an interesting news to share here on Orlando Theme Park News!
Even though we will not be able to get to the park today due to a very busy schedule, we wanted to report to our readers that one of our sources shared a great news regarding one of the minor projects currently happening at the Magic Kingdom Park. In fact, we have just been told that Rapunzel's Tower can now be seen towering over the new Tangled-themed area that is currently under construction in the park (between "It's A Small World" and the entrance to Liberty Square)! According to this report, this miniature tower is quite tall and has ivy growing around it. There are no signs of Rapunzel's hair... yet.
As we stated on our Facebook page, we are planning on going back to the park very soon to take photos of it.
EDIT: Here's a link to one of the first photos of the new tower, taken by Twitter user "DibaDisney."

SeaWorld Launches Its Very First Mobile Game

SeaWorld has just announced that a new ocean-themed mobile game is now available in the App Store, and it has a theme based on one of SeaWorld Orlando's newest attractions: Turtle Trek. Take a look: _________________________________________________________________________

SeaWorld Launches First Mobile Game: Ocean-Themed, of Course! SeaWorld’s “Turtle Trek” Free Mobile Game App - Proceeds from In-App Purchases Help Conservation

ORLANDO, FL – November 29, 2012 – SeaWorld® announced today the company’s first mobile game, Turtle Trek™ now available from the App Store℠.
Turtle Trek is a free game download for the iPhone and iPad. Players guide an adventuresome sea turtle on a quest across the beach and into the water to find friends.  They help the plucky sea turtle navigate through the perilous seascape and conquer a variety of challenges, some dangerous and some light-hearted.
With help from friendly characters such as Shamu the killer whale and Nyah the green sea turtle, players collect treasures and fill virtual sticker books with an array of ocean friends met during their trek. SeaWorld engaged Sleepy Giant through its Flying Grom label to create the new game.
Turtle Trek provides hours of fun and immersive action, and also offers an educational benefit by sharing fun facts about real sea animals.  Players encounter dozens of sea creatures but when they meet a special “Ocean Friend,” they gain a collectible virtual sticker for their Trek Book. At the touch of a finger, this virtual sticker opens to reveal interesting facts and photos about the actual ocean animal that the character resembles. These facts are kept easily accessible and can be shared with family and friends. The game’s name and theme reflect the newest attraction at SeaWorld Orlando that opened this past April. The attraction blends up-close encounters with live sea turtles and manatees with the world’s first 3D, 360 degree domed theater. In this attraction, guests get a turtle’s eye view of the world as they are surrounded on all sides – and even above – by the hyper-realistic 3D film that is journey of a special sea turtle named Nyah.
Since 2011, SeaWorld has recently begun expanding its popular brand into new media and entertainment platforms such as mobile games, movies, television and new lines of licensed consumer products.
“SeaWorld has a 50-year history of creating entertainment experiences that inspire people to connect with animals, and this type of entertainment is a natural extension for our company,” said Scott Helmstedter, Chief Creative Officer of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. “It is engaging and fun, but also instills a greater understanding of some of the ocean’s amazing animals.”
The game is the first to be offered under the new partnership between SeaWorld and Sleepy Giant. Sleepy Giant’s Flying Grom label is focused on working with brands to create compelling, family-oriented interactive experiences.
“We are thrilled to be working with SeaWorld, an exceptional brand and partner.  SeaWorld has a rich history of providing entertainment, education, and conservation in everything they do, and ‘Turtle Trek’ extends that tradition with fun and learning,” said Matt Hannus, CEO of Sleepy Giant.
While Turtle Trek offers a free opportunity to download and play, additional purchasable content is available. A portion of proceeds from the purchasable content will be donated directly to the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund.
